Loughborough University, UK

Since 01.07.2014
Full Professor for Cyber Security
Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia

I was probation advisor to Peter Bull (2013/14), and postgraduate admissions tutor at Loughborough (2013/14). Furthermore, I am now responsible for international admissions at Tallinn University of Technology (2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18, 2018/19). For the Cyber Security MSc program at TTU we typically have about 250-300 suitable applications each year. Unfortunately, we can only offer 40 places to international students. We are conducting Skype Interviews with suitable candidates before admissions.

Collaborations and internships:

I was a visiting researcher at Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ) Laboratories in Tokyo from May to August 2009. Working with Randy Bush and Kenjiro Cho. Our research involved routing research, active routing measurements, network monitoring and debugging.

I worked on a project with Agilent Laboratories, Palo Alto (CA), USA on developing more realistic router testing methods. I visited Agilent Labs as an intern several times in February/March 2003, October 2003, September 2004.

I worked on a BGP data characterisation project with Bruce Maggs and Akamai.
